What a great, funfiled weekend. Brad had Friday off so after the gym we headed to Lake Whatcom for lunch and a swim (brad and TJ). Our good friend Melissa and her daughter Isabella met us as well so the girls had a great time. The water was pretty cold but TJ did not want to get out. We then met Dottie at home and headed to the BP summer picnic later that afternoon. Terrace does pretty well with only one nap a day and then falls asleep easier at night. We had a great time tasting different salsa's, chili, and beer as part of a contest. Terrace got many different tastes of chili and shaved ice. We had a good time showing Terrace some animals and grandma even took her on a horse ride. Now that she walks everywhere so loves this new freedom and wanders off ALOT!
Dottie stayed with TJ that night and Brad and I went to see a movie in Canada and had a great time. The next day we went to the Ferndale Street fair, back to the picnic for espresso and ice cream. I then tried to enjoy a horse trailer ride with TJ but she did not want to sit still! She fished for a little bit and then home for a nap. We returned later for dinner and a relaxing evening. The next day I was able to get some groceries by myself before grandma left. It was so sweet to come home to see TJ asleep iin grandma's arms......I guess one nap a day is not enough after a busy weekend. Later we went on a walk around Lake Padden with Micah and her dog Doc and just finished the evening with picking blackberries!
Terrace is entertaining us with saying hi to everyone now, following the cats around everywhere, showing us where some of her body parts are and do kissing face while sticking her lips out really far!

NW Washington Fair 07
We made it out to the fair in Lynden for the first time this year (a couple weeks ago). We came to find out it is THE BIG DEAL around here. We went the first day and it was very packed but we had a great time playing in the toddler area, looking at the animals, and eating great fair food. Terrace loved walking around by herself and enjoyed looking at the animals but soon lost attention trying to say hi to everyone!

roadtrip to ID
After a night in Ellensburg to break up the trip we enjoyed some breakfast and coffee with one of my old co-workers Cathy. Terrace then crashed while we packed up and got on the road around 10. We met Jill at her work and enjoyed some time relaxing at her appartment and then headed over to her parents house. Brad was able to go out on a combine and harvest some wheat and then we had a wonderful dinner. It was home late that night and Brad was up early to ride his bike on a nice trail from Moscow to Pullman and back. Then, it was to the Breakfast Club for an amazing breakfast and off to Coeur d'Alene. We spent the majority of the time at the lake enjoying the sun. Terrace liked the water, seagulls, and other kids. We then walked around and had a great Italian lunch where Terrace loved her first "big girl cup" with a staw. Her hair was a mess and we had a great time playing with it. A small note to other parents....the swim diapers do not absorb well and accidents may happen!
Tues evening some of Jill's friends came over for dinner and Terrace had fun with two other kids. We relaxed the next morning, had a good bye lunch with Jill and had one last stop to see some bears run around near WSU which was really great to see. Our ride home started a little slow as we had a to take a long detour to get out of Pullman but with a few stops along the way to stretch, Terrace was quiet from Ellensburg home. The last miles of the trip were really tough as we just wanted to be home but looking back on the trip it was all worth it. We had a such a wonderful time with Jill and her family and friends. We also enjoyed a few days at home relaxing with Brad before he had to go back to work. I will post more great pictures soon as Jill took most of the pictures.
TJ sleeping at the hotel - this trip she learned that the pack and play is for sleeping!

let's party again....
We had planned a second birthday party since most of our family and a lot of friends live in the Seattle area. It was a lot of work but in the end it was worth it. It turned out to be a beautiful day and we ate a lot of yummy food. Terrace did sooo great with her cake and this time there were no tears. She had fun with dad opening gifts and showing off riding on her horse from grandma Mac. She was exausted at the end and fell asleep while I was holding her. We then enjoyed some time at Maria's house meeting their new dog and hanging out with Erika, Amelia, and Maria while Terrace slept. We had a quick dinner with my parents and then headed out for ID but decided to stay in Ellensburg for the night to break up the trip.

wedding weekend
Friday morning we headed out for the kirkland area making a stop at the outlet malls where we all got new outfits. We had Ray and Kelly's dinner rehersal that night and a fun dinner with the bridal party. Brad and TJ were wearing matching outfits of pink polo and brown shorts.....it was so cute and his idea! Brad had a fun night and Saturday with the guys while TJ and I laid low at Lisa's apartment and met Grandma Mac the next day. We did some shopping and I found a great dress for the wedding. Terrace took an awesome nap that afternoon while I got ready. The wedding was beautiful and Terrace looked soooo cute. The ceremony was fun and Terrace spent time wiht Grandma Mac that evening and next morning. Brad and I had a great time with alot of college friends we don't get to see very often.

1st birthday party
We had such a nice relaxing day around the house the day of her birthday....just getting ready for the party. BP has a recreation area where we had her party which worked out wonderful. It was a beautiful day and we all had a great time. We opened a few gifts here at the house and she ejoyed the paper, ribbons, and wrapping but then got into the gifts as well. We had an early dinner, a pinata, a pool to play in and bob for apples, and of course cake. I packed the pinata with party bags that exploaded once Anthony finally broke it apart! The rec area also worked so well bc there are a lot of toddler and PK toys to play one. The dads also entertained themselves very well playing games. Terrace like eating her own personal cake though she would cry, then eat some cake, and then cry again.....I think that part was a little overwhelming for her but we got through it. She was very calm while opening gifts and just sat in my lap. Thanks to everyone who came and enjoyed our VERY special day with us!

One Year Old
We have been having so much fun since Terrace turned one and very busy. One is just so much fun! It is so great to watch her learn and try to copy what Brad and I are doing or ask her to try. She is working on her 1st top tooth but it is taking its time. The day before her birthday she started walking on her own and not wanting assistance. Two weeks later she walks about 70% of the time. Even though we have very flexible shoes she tends to crawl when they are on. We continue to have fun showing everyone her animal noises which now consist of pig, dog, cow, cat, fish, lizard, and lion. Her signing has been a life saver and is sooooo cute! She is back to playing with toys alot and trying to figure them out....she really likes to take objects out and put them back in.
