Arizona....
We are so glad and excited for Juaquin and Jaime.....they are now married and gave us the reason to make it to Tucson AZ and 80 degree weather. We are not sad at all that we were in 80-85 degree weather and missed the cold and snow here in WA. We arrived TH very early morning after a great flight with Terrace....she is a GREAT traveler! We spent TH going around downtown Tucson and some time at the pool with our fish Terrace! We met up with friends and Brad's old coach at Pinnacle Peak in Trails Dust Town, Tucson's "in town" western town filled with activities! Pinnacle Peak is known for their 30 oz. steaks and many were had AND finished that night.
Friday we packed up early to head to our next hotel (the golf villa's-where we could all stay together and Terrace was able to sleep so well in a warm dark closet) where the guys would golf and Terrace and I went back downtown to the Children's museum and had such a great time! Everyone else got in on Friday and we again had some pool time before the rehearsal dinner and time together back at Juaq and Jaime's suite. It was so great to see everyone!
Saturday was the official relaxation POOL DAY until early afternoon and then we got ready. Terrace had such a great time in the pool the 1st two days but was content just putting her feet in on Sat and understands she can not get in without an adult. Luckily TJ took over a 3 hr nap on Saturday bc she was exhausted by this point. We enjoyed a wonderful sunset wedding and yummy dinner. one problem - I rolled my ankle on a small set of stairs in flip flops so spent most of the nights with my foot up resting I am very excited to see the photographers pictures bc we did not take many.
We were up early Sun am to catch our flight home (went really well again!) and after a wonderful birthday dinner with Dottie we were home by 8:30! What a great family vacation!!! Congrats Jaime and Juaquin
she has her own backpack for the flight but was to tired

pool time at the first hotel
Trail Dust Town...

Tucson Children's Museum (music room and grocery store were just a few of the many rooms)

The football group.....a close knit group of guys and so great to spend the weekend with Coach Hodge and his wife Kerry)
Our clan all in the pool (minus Terrace and Ray taking the picture)

The wedding evening

I have had a lot of time today with my foot up to blog! I am walking really well so it looks worse than it feels for the most part!

Easter!
We had a great Easter weekend with an egg hunt, YUMMY dinner with Jami and Micah, and then an GREAT easter party at Tiffany and Hannah's house.
Easter Egg Hunt, she loved finding the coins and was very upset when she only was able to eat one piece of candy.
time at home decorating chalk board painted eggs and looking CUTE! Terrace still insists on wearing her boots MOST days.

time at Tiffany's was GREAT, TJ had soooo much fun looking for all the eggs and eating her cookie (see the frosting....) thank you soooo much Tiffany!

18/19 months
How can a child change so much in 6 months? She was so little and quiet at a year old, now at a year and half ALL has changed. I have wanted to do an 18 month post but now we are past 19 months and she changed so much in the last month, it is hard to remember what she was not doing at 18 months that she does now.
She is a very verbal child and says two words together about 70% of the time now and some 3 word sentences!!! Everyday she amazes us with new words but in the last week we have been shocked with what she comes up with.....especially starting to copy me. some of the random words: daddy slipper, mommy- eye boogies (informing me that I have eye boogies), need boogie wipes (she has had 2 colds), bless you, OUT! (telling the cats to leave), underwear butt, and jump rope.
Her singing skills are refined every week, she is singing more songs now and can sing more clearly.....some of her favorites : ABC'S, twinkle/twinkle, our good night song, ring around the rosie, and wheels on the bus. She has also amazed us with her counting and memorization. She can count to 10, sometimes correctly but usually leaving 2-3 numbers out, she knows and REMEMBERS SO MANY people's name; she also has a book of colors memorized but if you ask her what color something is, she usually says white.
We have reached the stage of NO NO NO with attitude! We also had our first in public power struggle, we were leaving a store and she did not want to leave and laid down in the doorway, we continued to walk out and she got up and joined us shortly there after. most of the time we can reason with her...we encourage her to use her words and can usually reach a comprimise
She is just starting to show signs of getting embaressed, mothering and caring for younger children, selective hearing, and ignoring. Her first child characteristics also shine through in that she LOVES to please us and show us her new skills! ok - now it is done....jk
time in birch bay ( we go almost daily, she loves her boots)

tea party with Noah and bear:)
