For the small few of you that have not heard. My WONDERFUL friend Jill received an amazing christmas bonus - all expense paid trip to Hawaii for her and a friend. After I compiled a great list of reason's on why I would be a good candidate, she obviously felt the same way and we are leaving tomorrow!!! Brad will be home with Terrace and my parents will also be visiting to help out with Terrace, especially during the Ski to Sea event....this year Brad is doing the mountain bike. As before, I am getting really sad to leave TJ but know we will have such a great time and I am soooo looking forward to some relaxation time!

Great and Exhausting week in review
it has been a busy time for our family....but what else is new....
Brad left last Saturday for fire team training in Texas. He gets back today and we are sooo ready for him to be home. Terrace and I spent a great last weekend at my parents house....no pictures :( Saturday evening I had a beautiful wedding to attend while on Sunday we rested, met my friend Lisa and long time friend Brent (who was home for the week) at the park and then headed out to dinner with Mike and Becky (long time family friends;brent's parents). On Monday, Terrace and I had a great time at the new pool in Federal Way with a lazy river, slide, and fountains and then spent the evening with Maria and Erika.....taco soup, Corona, and a yard game for Cinco de Mayo. After an early nap on Tuesday we had lunch with my mom and the local FW Lion's Club and then off to get late 18 month pictures taken....it was not a great experience but better than I expected. On our way home, we both needed a break and stopped off in Skagit Valley for a fun afternoon/evening at the Children's Museum, Chuck-e-Cheese, and a shared doughnut at Krispy Kreme. I am so glad we stopped and I am excited to do that again someday.
We were so glad to be home and enjoyed a relaxing day on Wednesday getting ready for Amanda to come and stay with us. She stayed with us the last three nights and we have been busy outside enjoying the great weather. We walked around fairhaven, had a wonderful girls - grey's anatomy evening at Sara's, walked around Hovander Farm bringing back memories for her from when she was little, and participated in the Haggen to Haggen walk this early this morning. Terrace LOVED having Amanda here and made us both laugh soooo much.
I am looking forward to the rest of the weekend as a family and then to go to Kauai with Jill in less than 2 weeks....oh my, so soon!
some other notes of interest - we have been done with the binky for a couple weeks now.....personally, I am still missing it but Terrace is just fine. she still asks about it but sleeps just fine (a little less than before) she is talking and singing more and more saying 4-5 words at a time she also says the more random things and repeats sooo much that it make us just crack up
ex. **McDonalds, frenchfry, chicken, juice.....to little climb up whenever she see's the arches she says the previous line talking about what we order (she usually does not each much), and how I have told her she is to little for the big tubes bc she climbs up and wont come down!
** Oh my gosh.....says it with such excitement
**happen if something happens, she will say glass happen - if a glass spills for example
** by, see you later
** happy birthday (birpbay)...to you....dear
** no problem
** no pay for it
Terrace fell asleep on Brad....so cute

Tulips 2008
Terrace and I met my friend Shanna and her two children Sam and Ty at the tulip festival just a little south of where we live. After a short play time at McDonald's when I had to go up and bring Terrace down from the tubes we made our way to Rozengarden and after our entry we realized we were not at the large fields. We still enjoyed a short walk around on a nice day and some time together. it is so cute to hear Terrace say tulips

a rough week, then GREAT family time
We recently found out that Brad's brother Chad died. He was such an honest, kind, funny 20 year old who is DEARLY MISSED by soooo many people. Three days after we got the news about Chad, Brad came home with pneumonia and it was really bad for the first 3 days and he got better slowly day by day after that. Needless to say it was a ROUGH week.
We were able to make it down for Chad's funeral in Yucca Valley, outside of Palm Springs. The amazing, eye opening service was Saturday and then we spent the next three days much enjoying time in 80 degree weather with Scott, Julie, Lance and Aunt Diane. We stayed at a beautiful hotel (THANK YOU THANK YOU DIANE), pool side. (we did not miss the snow the NW received) We went to see the desert zoo, palm canons, walked around downtown (including a horse drawn carriage ride), and spent alot of time around the pool and hot tub. It was sooo much fun to watch Lance and Terrace interact, play, and try to share. This is a long post - so many pictures to chose from and I hope to put some up soon of the balloon release for Chad.
R.I.P Chad....you will missed by all who knew you!!!!
