I can't believe it has been a year already. I really feel that Brad and I have succeeded in enjoying time with her and taking it all in but it still does not seem real that just a year ago she was still inside of me. How can a baby learn and accomplish so much in 12 months.....she must be advanced (jk)! As her party approaches, I am trying to take extra time with her and she even let me rock her to sleep yesterday. It is so easy for me to focus on planning her parties instead of taking time to process all of the feelings around our baby turning one.....it is soooo bittersweet. Brad and I will be writing her a letter, hopefully on every birthday and I hope we can express with words how she has changed our life in such an amazing way and what a JOY she truly is (thanks for the idea Katie). I don't know if words can express all that we feel but her middle name just fits. We are so blessed with such a vocal, sweet, curious, good sleeper, laid back child and would not change a thing!
So I was looking for one picture and came across all of these prego pictures to post. This time last year I was planning to go in to my 40 week appt. with Barb and cry to have her induce me. As I walked in, she was once again shocked at the size of my belly and suggested another ultrasound since I was measuring big....at this point I asked about there induction policy and she thought it was a good idea. So, no ultrasound, no crying.....just excitement and nervousness as I called Brad and Micah to tell them we would be checking into the hospital the next morning.
I thought it would also be appropriate to post some of the comments I was told within my last month of pregnancy
I heard....
Wow....you are as big as a house
gasp....I don't think I have ever seen anyone so big, I need to take a picture because no one will believe me
from my midwife every week I saw her in the end.....wow, how many weeks are we again?
August 1st heading into the hospital (yes, that is a maternity shirt) and then all "hooked" up....

oh my goodness.....
she is almost 1
so, we took her 1 year pictures. My goal was to get pictures of her standing doing her "cheesy" smile. She has been doing this smile for about a week and she looks so much like her cousin Lance when he was doing this! I only got a few printed because I think I found a photographer to come to her party for free to build his portfolio so hopefully we get some good ones then as well. I think she looks so sweet in her princess dress and she will be wearing that for Ray and Kelly's wedding. I will update on all of her new skills soon and have more posts to put together as well. Enjoy!

wonderful weekend
We have had a great weekend! The fun started Saturday morning watching baby Jaiden....I got both her and TJ to sleep at the same time and enjoyed over an hour and a half of me time. We then went shopping with Crystal and back home for another good nap....terrace is teething so she is sleeping ALOT! Lisa and Daniel came up around 6 and we dropped TJ off with Crystal and Brodie so we could enjoy a quiet dinner. We had a great evening and Crystal convinced us to let TJ spend the night so we were able to sleep in as well. Terrace slept in until 8 (she never does that for me!). We then enjoyed a nice day in Birch Bay at the Discovery Days while the boys golfed. Terrace really liked the horse carriage ride and made everyone laugh when she was bouncing up and down like riding on a horse! We had a great dinner with Lisa and Daniel and then went swimming which she loves more and more everytime.

So I finally updated again and here are a few pictures from today. The play group came over for brunch which was great. Melissa and Isabella stayed a little longer and we took some funny pictures with the computer camera. We were crying it was so funny. Isabella really liked it at first and then was feeling pretty wierd about how they were looking.....some our very odd as we played around with the special effects. I am still laughing as I am typing this out......great time Melissa!

Winthrop July 2007
1st Camping Trip....YEAH!!! We went over the Winthrop for 2 nights with our good friends Tricia, James and their three daughters. So in total we had 4 adults and 4 children 4 and under......and we got through it with many smiles and memories! We stayed at the KOA in a sleeping cabin that had beds, electricity, and a fan. Tricia and James have a fifth wheel so we were able to use that as well. Terrace did really well considering we all did not sleep that well. She had fun crawling around the camp site, swimming, and sitting in the lake. It was very wam Mon and Tues and poured on us Wednesday. Brad and I had a wonderful time as we used to camp in Winthrop every year in college. It was great to revisit the places we had been before!
I am so big momma!
