1st birthday party

We had such a nice relaxing day around the house the day of her birthday....just getting ready for the party. BP has a recreation area where we had her party which worked out wonderful. It was a beautiful day and we all had a great time. We opened a few gifts here at the house and she ejoyed the paper, ribbons, and wrapping but then got into the gifts as well. We had an early dinner, a pinata, a pool to play in and bob for apples, and of course cake. I packed the pinata with party bags that exploaded once Anthony finally broke it apart! The rec area also worked so well bc there are a lot of toddler and PK toys to play one. The dads also entertained themselves very well playing games. Terrace like eating her own personal cake though she would cry, then eat some cake, and then cry again.....I think that part was a little overwhelming for her but we got through it. She was very calm while opening gifts and just sat in my lap. Thanks to everyone who came and enjoyed our VERY special day with us!

One Year Old

We have been having so much fun since Terrace turned one and very busy. One is just so much fun! It is so great to watch her learn and try to copy what Brad and I are doing or ask her to try. She is working on her 1st top tooth but it is taking its time. The day before her birthday she started walking on her own and not wanting assistance. Two weeks later she walks about 70% of the time. Even though we have very flexible shoes she tends to crawl when they are on. We continue to have fun showing everyone her animal noises which now consist of pig, dog, cow, cat, fish, lizard, and lion. Her signing has been a life saver and is sooooo cute! She is back to playing with toys alot and trying to figure them out....she really likes to take objects out and put them back in.

Wearing her 1st head band and she actually keeps it on....so cute!
thanks Aunt May

loves her cold milk in a cup, we are done with bottles....YEAH!!!

Time with Melissa and Isabella and they enjoyed the pebbles!

trying to climb up the slide...

Enjoying time at my parents Sunday morning before we went to have lunch with grandma Mac. She is really into taking things out and putting things back into drawers, bowls, and containers.

Ordering her cake from the bakery and she got her 1st whole cookie.....she loved it of course and bit into it like she knew what she was doing!

Micah and Doc

Terrace is almost obsessed with dogs lately. She will spot dogs that are really far away and start panting and waiving. She also gets excited about pictures of dogs. So, Micah and her golden retriever came over and needless to say TJ was in heaven. We had a wonderful dinner and then went down to the water to watch Docs skills in the water. He goes after sticks that are thrown so far out there and then if he finds another one he will try to bring both of them in. At times he was all the way under water for up to 10 seconds at a time. Terrace had a great time playing with his leash and watching him trying to shake dry....by the end we were all very wet and had such a great evening....we can't wait to do it again with Brad.

Terrace looked so uncomfortable (the pic does not do it justice) with her head sideways and holding her foot

She likes riding in the shoping cars and this was also the start of her cheesy smile almost 2 weeks ago!

Finally, a picture that shows her teeth, I have been trying so hard to get one. She has the full Hendrickson lips so it has been hard for me but of course Brad does it without even trying.

early birthday gift...

I have been looking on craigslist for awhile for small outdoor climbers and slides for TJ and I found these a couple weeks ago. She really enjoys them, even though she is unable to climb up by herself yet. She really likes to try to climb up the slide. There are also a few pictures where I used the color swap feature on my camera (a feature my camera has)....thanks Caitlin for telling me about this!
