Girls weekend in Portland

I had a great weekend in Portland with some of my close friends. Below is a picture from a beauty school we visited. Terrace was home with Grandma Mc while Brad was working nights.

She has been into books sooo much lately, sitting in a chair and looking through them talking in her "own language" most of the time. We have 3 sign language books that are very popular lately (thanks Rachel!) and I noticed about a week ago that one of them she would sign or say every page. I tried all 3 this morning on video and she did so well, she got almost all of them! With my experience with children, I should unsderstand more of what she is capable of, but she just amazes me. I tried to upload a video from a couple weeks ago doing some animal noises but couldn't get it to work....I will try again soon.

We had a great day! We carved our pumpkins and had TJ paint a small pumpkin the night before halloween. Terrace was not that into painting and mostly wanted to eat the paint. On halloween we started off at Tiffany's house for a halloween party where we were able to get a picture of all of children dressed up so cute and another of the whole playgroup....thanks Matt! We had fun playing with toys, eating, and painting pumpkins. After nap we watched our neighbors put up their halloween scene and had a fun dinner (whitches stew -taco soup) and evening with Crystal, Brodie and Jaiden in the evening. We had Terrace answer the door with us and she enjoyed giving out candy. This year was not as busy as last year and we were all in bed by 9! The best part is that Terrace loves wearing her cow (calf) outfit, I really look forward to dressing up more often as she gets older!
