first photo shoot

We did our first photo shoot a couple weeks ago. It went well but I will not be going as much as I did with TJ when she was little - it is too much work! Enjoy - there are some really great ones!

here are pictures of TJ from around the same age - it is fun to look back and see how much they look alike.

staying busy as usual

Braeden is now 1 month old and what a sweetheart he is! He is now probably close 10 1/2 lbs and starting to outgrow his newborn clothes :( It is great that he is now putting on weight and is no longer jaundice - he had what is called breast milk jaundice so I stopped nursing for a day and gave him formula and it is so much better! He takes a bottle really well and TJ enjoys feeding him occasionally. He is now in his own room at night and slept a 6 hr chunk last night so hopefully we can keep growing on that (who knows). We have been staying busy and Braeden fits right in doing so well on our travels (all local so far). He does well in his car seat for the most part unless he is hungry then he looses it! I LOVE MY MOBY WRAP as does Braeden.

Terrace is doing better with the adjustment (or we are doing better with her adjustment). She is learning to help with his binky and blanket and loves picking out his outfits. Most days she is pretty protective over him.

for those interested, I am now uploading the larger version of the pictures so you can click on them to make them larger and should be able to print them.

B sleeping in back seat while we watch Brad play soccer, from the car bc it was raining

Puzzles puzzles puzzles - you can find TJ doing puzzles multiple times a day since Braeden was born!

Bedtime story - Braeden is always so calm and quiet in Brad's arm

I think this is so sweet _ Braeden looking up at Brad

Dottie came up to help us and visit 2 weeks in a row and it was WONDERFUL! I did not hardly touch a dish or cook the whole time and we ate SO WELL! She was a great 2nd pair of hands and eyes around the house and while we ran errands. THANK YOU THANK YOU!

proud sister

A couple of our friends came over and brought us lunch last week. I have known this little girl since she was 3 or 4 months old and now she is 4 and so good with Braeden - thank you M and I!

so sweet -

Braeden's friends - the boy next to B is 2 months old and the little girl is 4 months and we did not plan the matching outfits.

My parents came up this weekend and we had a great time visiting. They stayed at a local condo so T and I went swimming and we had such a yummy dinner over there! My dad also got a lot of projects done for us around the house while I had time to get some of my to do list done. THANK YOU THANK YOU

our best effort to get a picture of both of them....

First smiles caught on camera - YAY! so cute

Terrace playing in her marching band she said - we went to the junior ski to sea parade on Friday so I think that is where she came up this

Mother's Day

I had a great mother's day even though Brad worked today. After church we had a picnic lunch enjoying some wonderful weather. I did not take any pictures today but took a couple of Braeden with our laptop camera this evening for your enjoyment. I hope to give more of an update soon. While there are stressful times, there is nothing more rewarding then being a mother. thank you to my family for making me feel so loved

2 wks old

Braeden is almost 3 wks old. I am enjoying him soooo much and find myself not wanting to put him down. It is sad to think that he will already be a month old next week :( But I also look forward to his first smile and the continued joy we know he will bring to our lives. At almost 2 wks old he was up to 9lbs and 22 inches long. He has now surpassed his birth weight. He is still a little jaundice but it should be gone anytime. He is more awake now and usually pretty content in the swing or his chair. I tried having him sleep out of our room last night in his crib and it did not go so well and I think he prefers his cradle or our bed the best - he does eat quickly and usually falls right back to sleep.

Dottie was up here for part of the week and her help was awesome! It was so great to have a 2nd pair of eyes in the house and she did all the cooking and cleaning which was amazing! I was also able to get my hair done, meet some ladies out for a friends birthday and go on a date with just Terrace. Thank you so much and see you in a few days!!!

It has been hard to remember to get the camera out so I only have a couple pictures to post.

Our mom and daughter date to the fun zone - we had a great time! She has been having a rough week adjusting and pushing her boundaries so we are trying to spend as much one on one time with her as we can. I knew it would be tough but there are times that are more frustrating than I imagined. She LOVES Braeden so much and is very sweet with him.

family of four

Here is a quick update; Brad goes back to work tomorrow :( and I need to get to bed....but I know we have some people waiting for a picture update. Braeden is doing wonderful, he is such a sweet and relaxed cuddle bug...but what newborn isn't? We had a dr appt today and he is 22 inches and 9lbs so he will almost be back to birth wait at 2 wks. He is still a little jaundice but it is getting better. He was sleeping really well but the last couple nights have been a little more rough but I think he is just working through a growth spurt.
Terrace is doing pretty well with the transition. She has a cold and cough so that has been rough. She enjoys being around Braeden and likes to help but is quite emotional and is really pushing her boundaries and pushing our buttons. We will see how things change with Brad back at work....
It has been AMAZING having Brad home; he has done soooo much around the house so I can relax and we have been busy enjoying the sun and running errands this week. I am feeling really well and have enjoyed getting out of the house with Brad's help. I have also been able to nap most days and have had a good amount of time to just enjoy holding Braeden! Thanks to all our friends for visiting!
We plan to make it out a couple times this week and Dottie will be up later in the week - YAY!

We were welcomed home...
